With Mark Sanchez getting injured in the Jets third preseason game, it looks like rookie Geno Smith will be starting Week 1 but I’m really not comfortable saying that either. Sanchez has looked bad and so has Smith in the preseason. Head coach Rex Ryan is definitely on the hot seat to get the Jets in the playoffs but I just don’t see it happening.

The Jets are just a badly constructed football team even when Ryan first got there. I wouldn’t be surprised if Matt Simms makes an appearance this season because the Jets are terrible on the offense; the defense isn’t the same anymore.

It looks like Rex Ryan will be a lame duck coach this entire season just waiting to hear that he will be fired because the Jets aren’t making the playoffs this season unless they have a divine intervention.
